After the biggest commercial success of the year 2016 'Velainu Vanthuta Vellaikaran', Vishnu Vishal succeeded not only as an actor but also as a producer with great profit. The main positive of Velainu Vanthuta Vellaikaran was it's high engaging humor content. With that belief, Vishnu Vishal along with Soori and Fox Star Studios signed this commercial flick. Vishnu Vishal is the only actor next to Vijay Sethupathi, who gave back to back hits in recent times. In this film, he is looking good and gave his usual performance. Catherine Teresa's characterization is not much strong. She was seen only in some scenes and songs. Soori's comedy was not boring but worked out only to some extent. The screen presence of Anandraj and Mottai Rajendran saved the film in some parts. Vijay Sethupathi's Cameo as Doctor was convincing. In this film, flaws spoiled those small positives of the film. The main engaging factor in a commercial entertainer should be it's humor content, which is what family audience expects. Here, the comedy made us just a smile instead of laughter out loud. First half opened with a good beginning and after that screenplay made the plot more weaker. Director Muruganantham concentrated in paper work and failed in execution. He couldn't hold the interest of the audience throughout the film as they enjoyed only few scenes. The rare disease factor could have been used in a creative manner which was highly wasted. Director tried villainism in a funny way but not impressive. Sean Roldan's background score didn't sync with situation of the commercial film. Without the gripping factor, the film struggled to entertain the audience. I didn't expect this kind of film in Vishnu's career.
Verdict - This film will satisfy some audience who watch without any over expectations. Anyway just watch it once for Vishnu Vishal's screen presence.
