One of the Biggest Hits of 2014, Velai illa Pattathari which is a favourite film for all engineers released it's sequel in a high level expectations among the people because of it's first part impact. Dhanush, one of the finest actors in K'town as usual given his good performance and scored very well in punch dialogues. Kajol, after Minsaara Kanavu made a re-entry to K'town given her best but her characterisation is not that much strong. Other Supporting Actors played their part well and the replacement of Surabhi by Ritu Varma looks like a TV Serial Technique. Sean Roldan's Music doesn't create a good impact to the theme of the film and to the mass fight scenes. Anirudh's BGM used for few seconds in some scenes and got a good response which made us to feel for his absence in this sequel. First half was going in a good manner with some humour content and Interval part is also a good one. But Second Half have many cliches of VIP 1, which doesn't create a great interest towards the flow of the film as we are able to predict those scenes. Soundarya tried a different climax but it's not impressive for this commercial entertainer. The battle between 'Raghuvaran' and 'Vasundhara' is not an interesting one as it ends only in conversations.
Verdict: Not An Impressive Sequel because of it's weak content and cliches, But A Decent One Time Watchable Commercial Entertainer
