Plot - Raghava (Raghava Lawrence) and his family goes to Coimbatore, to attend his grandfather's 60th wedding anniversary. Raghava and his whole family get disturbed by two ghosts named 'Kaali' (Raghava Lawrence) and 'Rosy' (Ri-Djavi Alexandra). Those two ghosts use Raghava's body, to take revenge on some people. What happens next forms the remaining story.

Positives
Raghava Lawrence entertains the audience with his usual style. In both humour and horror portions, he has given his best. For me, his character 'Kaali' looks convincing when compared to 'Raghava'. Oviya, Vedhika and Nikki Tamboli are used only for the skin show, in which they attract the youngsters through their glamour. Ri-Djavi Alexandra, a foreign actress who plays an important character in the flashback portion. She delivers a decent performance. As usual, Kovai Sarala - Devadarshini - Sriman combo has been used for the humour portions. For me, their humour content works well only in selected portions. But, the family audience enjoys their comedy track continuously. Tarun Arora and Kabir Duhan Singh have played the main antagonists, who are responsible for the death of the characters 'Kaali' and 'Rosy'. They have justified it in a decent way. The cinematography by Vetri-Sarvesh Murarri and Ruben's editing suits well with this horror-comedy plot perfectly. Among the songs composed by 'DooPaaDoo.Com' team, 'Ketta Paya Sir Kaali' song is good. Thaman's background score helps to elevate a few horror portions and also some action sequences. The screenplay execution is good in 4-5 scenes. The flashback portion doesn't have a strong emotional touch still, it looks decent. A scene where physically challenged persons try to escape from the villain's goons is slightly good.

Negatives
The same cliches and the screenplay pattern followed for the previous installments in 'Kanchana' (a) 'Muni' series, is also seen in this installment. The storyline is also usual and equivalent to the previous installments. This is the major drawback of the film. There are some small changes like the protagonist's help for the ghost and the exorcists (foreign people & Aghori here), which differs from the previous installments. Other than that, the film has been handled in the usual way only. Still, the die-hard fans of 'Kanchana' (a) 'Muni' series don't bother about this. So, they take it easy and enjoy the film in a just-like-that way. Apart from them, the people who expect a different treatment from Raghava Lawrence (even though they like 'Kanchana' series) will get highly disappointed. The film will be very boring for them. At least, Raghava Lawrence should have treated the humour content in a different way. Whatever we have seen in the previous installments, is also seen in this film. Still, the family audience enjoys those portions completely. But, Soori's comedy doesn't work well. Those who expect different humour content will once again get disappointed. The film looks very lengthy. The placement of the songs such as 'Nanbanukku Koila Kattu', 'Oru Satta Oru Balpam' and 'Kadhal Oru Vizhiyil' looks completely unnecessary. As usual, logical loopholes are seen throughout the film. The screenplay enters into the plot only in the second half. The flashback portion begins in a good way, but later it ends with less impact. The climax portion is also usual, with the placement of 'Rudhra Kaali' song. Because of the usual treatment, it doesn't look convincing. The CG works could have been better. Raghava Lawrence ends the film, by giving a lead to 'Kanchana 4'. I don't have any objection for that. But, I expect him to give a different flavour to it, instead of following the same cliches and the screenplay pattern seen in all the installments of 'Kanchana' (a) 'Muni' series.

Verdict
'Kanchana 3' is a usual horror-comedy entertainer from Raghava Lawrence, which doesn't differ from any of his previous installments in 'Kanchana' (a) 'Muni' series. The film will work only with the target audience (family audience and the die-hard fans of 'Kanchana' (a) 'Muni' series'.) The remaining people will really get disappointed to the core. This film will work well with 'B' and 'C' center audience.

Cut Short Rating - I'm not going to rate this film, as the film disappointed me completely. Consider this suggestion. If you have really enjoyed the previous installments in 'Kanchana' (a) 'Muni' series, you will enjoy this film too. If you expect a different treatment from Raghava Lawrence in this film, you better avoid this film to not get highly disappointed.
