He comes to know that Maya's father 'Garudaraja Pattathari' (Bipin) is the reason behind it. He is a wizard in Kerala, who uses evil powers to fulfill people's wish. So, Vellai Viji goes to Kerala to convince him. What happens next and did his love succeed forms the crux of the story.

'Dhillukku Dhuddu 2' is a sequel to 'Dhillukku Dhuddu', which has released in the year '2016'.

Performance of the Star Cast - Santhanam delivers a convincing performance, in which his counter dialogues works big. He makes us to witness the old Santhanam, which we have been missing for a long time. From the beginning to end, he entertains the audience to the core. Shritha Shivadas makes a good debut in Kollywood, through her decent act. Motta Rajendran comes as a great support for Santhanam, throughout the film. He also entertains the audience, by making us to laugh for his comedy. The chemistry between Santhanam and Motta Rajendran works well in the humour portions, which can be said as biggest highlight of the film. Bipin and Urvashi have also given their complete support in the humour portions. They have scored very well in the pre-climax portion. All the other actors have played their part decently.

Technical Works - Deepak Kumar Padhy's cinematography work is really good, which makes the film to be visually attractive. 'Gingee' Madhavan's editing looks sharp and crisp. His cuts makes this horror-comedy genre to travel in a right track. There are only two songs in this film, which has been composed by Shabir. His songs are not very impressive, still 'Mavane Yaarkittae' song works with few people. His background score is good, in the humour portions.

Director's Involvement with the Script - The commercial success of 'Dhillukku Dhuddu' makes the Director Rambhala to direct this sequel. He has taken an usual plot only. But, he presents it in a very entertaining way. When compared to the first part, his writing for humour content looks very stronger in this sequel. So, he doesn't make the audience to get bored with his treatment. He focuses mostly on what the plot needs. He doesn't give much importance to romance. This is the main reason for the crisp 120 minutes duration. He makes the audience to enjoy Santhanam's one-liners. Along with that, he mixes double-meaning comedy to make more hilarious. His screenplay looks predictable only, but it provides a great entertainment. The treatment for the backstory behind horror element, looks very similar to the first part.

Screenplay Execution - In the first half, the film begins with a good start. Santhanam's introduction scene looks simple only. After few minutes, the screenplay entertains the audience with good humour. Few humour portions makes us to laugh out loud. The interval block is really superb, which creates a great curiosity about the latter half. In the second half, the film begins with a fight scene, in which 'Bahubali' reference makes it enjoyable. The screenplay maintains the same intense flow. At a point, the screenplay takes a top gear. From there, the film provides us a complete non-stop laughter experience. Till the climax, the screenplay is very hilarious. The climax portion looks as usual only.

Main Negatives of the Film - As usual, the logical errors are seen throughout the film. The scarier moments are usual only. The screenplay is predictable only, in which the usual cliches of horror-comedy genre has been used. In both the half, the screenplay is completely enjoyable. But, a complete satisfaction will be seen only in the second half. It doesn't mean the first half is not upto the mark. The treatment of the humour content in the first half, looks normal only. So, few people may not get convinced strongly. Apart from the good humour, few humour portions will make certain audience to feel very embarrassing and uneasy. The double-meaning content works well, but it looks repetitive and force-fitted in few parts. Just because of this, few set of family audience may not get completely satisfied.

Verdict
'Dhillukku Dhuddu 2' is a completely satisfying horror-comedy entertainer from Santhanam-Rambhala combo. Santhanam is back to the form, where he entertains the audience through his powerful counter dialogues. Motta Rajendran, Bipin and Urvashi have also given their contribution to make the humour content stronger. So, the film provides a great entertainment to the audience. Everyone will really enjoy the second half to the core. Even though there are some flaws, we can neglect it. So, the audience will come out of the theatre with great satisfaction. This film deserves 'worth watchable once' category for the non-stop laughter experience. Watch it with your friends in theatres. If your family is comfortable with double-meaning comedy, you can watch the film with them in theatres.
