Plot - 'Matta' Sekar ('Attakaththi' Dinesh) and his family runs 'Counterfeit liquor' business. His father 'Murugesan' (Mayilsaamy) is once a member of 'EMVK' political party. Now, the political party is completely under the control of Selva (Dheena). When Murugesan's businness comes as a trouble for his liquor bar, Selva destroys it with his influence. When 'Matta Sekar' tries to take revenge on Selva, the situation turns against him. How that situation makes him to enter politics forms the crux of the story.

Performance of the Star Cast - 'Attakaththi' Dinesh's characterisation is the biggest strength of the film. He delivers an effortless performance and he entertains the audience completely with his humour act. Mahima Nambiar comes as an usual heroine for hero's love interest. Her portions doesn't create a great disturbance. She delivers a neat performance in the given space. Radha Ravi delivers his usual best performance and his political play stays strong. Mayilsaamy comes as a good support for Dinesh, in which he gives his best. Dheena plays the usual negative shade role, and he gives his usual best to that. Hari Krishnan and 'Pazhaya Joke' Thangadurai also comes a good support for Dinesh throughout the film. All the other actors have done their part very well.
Technical Works - Vishnu Rangasamy's cinematography work is really nice, in which his visuals adds beauty to the locations. G.B.Venkatesh's editing looks good, in which cuts look so sleek. Arrol Corelli's songs are not bad. 'Anjaa Nenjane', 'Maane Thene', 'Em Peru Matta' and 'Mayakurane' songs are good among that. His background score is really impressive, in which he helps to make some scenes intense.
Director's Involvement with the Script - Director Rajkumar has justified the 'political comedy entertainer' genre completely. He deals the political content with full of humour touch, wherever the situation needs. The humour touch helps it to entertain the audience. He frames the characterisation of 'Matta' Sekar in a very entertaining way. He has shown the real game of politics with a simple treatment. Without focusing much on unnecessary elements, he presents the film with what he wants to say in 110 minutes.
Screenplay Execution - In the first half, the film opens with a decent start by giving a small touch about the politics. Later, the film focuses on Dinesh's love and his family business. The romance portions initially takes time to set the political content. At a point, the film completely focuses on the main track with an engaging screenplay. The interval point is expected one only, still it's enjoyable. In the second half, the film maintains the same good flow. Ramachandran's character creates a transformation in Dinesh's character. From there, the screenplay completely travels in an entertaining way. Towards the climax, the film maintains the curiosity. The twist in the climax can be guessed by few. The climax portion is simple only, but it's convincing and also shows the real politics.
