After the success of 'Kabali', 'Superstar' Rajinikanth and Director Pa Ranjith once again teamed up for a commercial action entertainer. The film was titled as 'Kaala' and it is produced by our Dhanush, under his own production house 'Wunderbar Films'. 'Lyca Productions' also became a part of this film under distribution rights. The shooting of this film went on a full-swing. The team announced it's release date recently as 27th April, 2018. Now, the film's teaser is officially released in Youtube.
'Superstar' Rajinikanth - Our 'Superstar' Rajinikanth is looking so cool and terrific as 'Kaala' (a) 'Karikalan' in every frame. Like 'Kabali', he comes in the 'Salt & Pepper' look. His dialogue delivery is as usual very superb, which will really get a great response in theatres. The treat for Superstar fans is 100% guaranteed.
Nana Patekar - Director Nana Patekar is playing a negative shade in this film it seems. His dialogues and the conversation with our Superstar shows that he plays as a corrupted politician in the film.
Samuthrakani - Director-Actor Samuthrakani's voice-over comes in the beginning, where he explains the meaning behind the name 'Kaala' (a) 'Karikaalan'. Samuthrakani may be playing as a right hand for our Superstar in the film. But, we will get a clarity on his characterisation only after the film's release.
Huma Qureshi - We can't guess the characterisation of Huma Qureshi, whether she plays a positive or negative character in the film. We have to wait to know about her role till the film's release.
Eshwari Rao - Eshwari Rao plays as the wife of our Superstar in the film. She is known for her supporting character roles in some films. Her role will definitely have a greater importance with the plot like Radhika Apte's role in 'Kabali'.
Sakshi Agarwal and Dileepan - Sakshi Agarwal and Dileepan are seen in two or three frames, as one of the family members of Kaala.
Santhosh Narayanan's BGM - Santhosh Narayanan's background score is really ultimate in the teaser, and it assures us of giving many goosebumps moments. So, his background score will definitely elevates the action sequences.
Cinematography and Editing - Murali G's cinematography looks amazing, in which the location of Mumbai is shot in a very lively manner. Sreekar Prasad's editing is so crisp and neat.
Detailing in the Teaser - In every frame, the black colour is shown with a major importance. So, there may be any connection with the meaning of black colour to the plot. From the teaser and the stills released, we can clearly say that the film will deal with some family sentiments, along with the action elements. Especially, the film may deal with the importance of joint family in few portions.
Director Pa.Ranjith - In 'Kabali', his making style and the treatment of the usual plot impressed me a lot. But, at the same time, he gave very less importance to the action sequences in 'Kabali', which was a disappointment for Superstar fans. In this teaser, we can clearly see that the film will completely focus on action sequences. In 'Kabali', he spoke about the problems of 'Malaysian Tamil' people. Likewise, he may deal with some other problems in the core plot. His dialogues are also looking good in the teaser. So, he will definitely get applause for some dialogues in the film.
The teaser creates a great curiosity among the Superstar fans and general audience. It looks promising in every aspect. So, it will be definitely a great summer treat for all ages to enjoy the screen presence of Superstar. Let's all wait and watch the film in theatres on 27th April.
