Plot - Ranveer Pratap Singh (a) Ronnie is an Indian Army Officer. He comes to Goa to meet his ex-lover Neha, who needs his help to find her kidnapped child 'Rhea'. How Ronnie finds the child amidst many confusions revolving around it forms the crux of the story.

'Baaghi 2' is an Official Hindi Remake of Superhit Telugu Film 'Kshanam', which released in the year 2016. This is the second installment in 'Baaghi' series.

Performance of the Star Cast - Tiger Shroff delivers a solid performance and he strikes well in the action sequences. His physique and the fighting skills gels well in the action sequences to look lively and engaging. Disha Patani delivers her best performance and she justifies her characterisation in a good manner. Manoj Bajpayee plays a decent act, but still he doesn't get any scope in his characterisation to show his performance. Randeep Hooda plays a supporting role, and he steals the show with his different appearance and funny dialogues. Deepak, Prateik and Darshan gives their best in the given space to perform. Jacqueline Fernandez plays a cameo in the peppy track 'Ek Dho Teen' and she scores well with her superb dance movements.

Technical Works - Santhana Krishnan and Ravichandran handles the cinematography work. The visuals are so superb, in which it stands strong throughout the film. Rameshwar S Bhagat's editing looks sharp with sleek cuts. The film have 5 different music directors, in which all of them gives their best. Julius Packiam's background score helps to elevate the engaging factor in the film.

Director's Involvement with the Script - Director Ahmed Khan follows the same screenplay pattern of the original version 'Kshanam'. But, he makes some changes in the film to present the film as a commercial package. Like 'Baaghi 1', the importance given for the action sequences in this second part is damn high. It is good to present the film as a commercial entertainer, to satisfy the taste of the audience. But, he should have concentrated more to avoid some speed breakers in the film, which affects the flow in between.

Screenplay Execution - In the first half, the film takes off in a very good manner. The romantic flashback doesn't gives a bored feel. The police station scene in the film looks superb with mind-blowing action. After some time, the film falls into the engaging factor, which gets maintained on a right track till the interval block. In the second half, the film takes some time to involve into the main track. From there, the screenplay becomes engaging and it takes a different dimension in the climax, with high-voltage action sequences. The climax is superb, with some good twists.

Main Negatives of the Film - 'Mundiyan' and 'Ek Dho Teen' disturbs the flow with it's unnecessary placement in the film. Some commercial elements doesn't gel with the major plot in few parts. Some logical loopholes are seen in the film. The villain's characterisation could have been sketched in a good manner.

Verdict
'Baaghi 2' is a good commercial entertainer, in which the action sequences stands so strong. The director justifies the original version in parts. In some places, he could have concentrated more to avoid those flaws. So, this film deserves a 'worth watchable once' category for a good action packed entertaining experience. The action lovers will really like the film just for the high-voltage action sequences.

Cut Short Rating - 7.4/10
