Plot - In a single night, how the four different people at various places with their different problems gets connected at a point and how they faced that situation forms the crux of the story.

Nowadays, there are so many issues in releasing a film. Till that, the whole team will have sleepless nights. In this case, many long-delayed films due to various issues are still there. One among them is 'Vizhithiru'. Director Meera Kathiravan made his entry into the Kollywood with his debut film 'Aval Peyar Tamizharasi'. After that, he struggled so much and finally released this film yesterday evening. The trailer of the film created a good interest among the audience. This thriller has a wonderful star cast, which also made us promising.

Kreshna delivered a solid perfomance as he went deeply into the skin of that character. Director Venkat Prabhu played as a visually challenged person and as the father of Baby Sarah. He made us convinced with his very good performance. Baby Sarah looked cute in every frame and delivered a neat performance. The intensity level was high in the stories of Kreshna and Venkat Prabhu. Vidharth and Sai Dhanshika, who showed their best performance in recent films had some less space to perform. Because, their story got some high intensity only towards the ending of the film. Still, they have done their role perfectly. Abhinaya came as a supporting character by playing a radio jockey. She gave justice to that character and made us comfortable. Rahul Baskaran and '555' Fame Erica Fernandes gave their best in their portions. Like Vidharth-Dhanshika story, this story also made us convinced only towards the climax. SPB Charan portions just looked like a cameo only, yet he made us comfortable in those portions. Nagendra Babu Sir's villainism was not that much convincing. The cinematography work by Director Vijay Milton was very nice as he captured those night scenes in a very good manner. The songs were not that much impressive. 'Paparappa' song was a speed breaker in this thriller genre. The background score was good at some parts. The director tried to handle this interlinking thriller in a very good manner. But at some points, the director faced some struggles in his writing it seems. Because, those two stories took so much time to settle which tested the patience of audience. If there was high intensity in those stories like the other two, the screenplay would have been more engaging. The predictability factor was very less and this made the audience to keep on thinking about what's gonna happen next. Some portions could have been better. The interval block was not that much stronger. The climax of the film with the interconnection of all stories and the message which the director tried to give justification behind the interconnection was good. Still, it will make us to think of execution of that ending to be better. Except these issues, the director gave a decent thriller and made us little bit convinced.

Verdict - This thriller has a wonderful star cast with strong performances by some lead actors. But the screenplay execution went wrong in some portions which failed to give a fulfilled feel. The balance of the stories was not that much good. Still, Vizhithiru will not give you bored feel and will make you Vizhithiru (Stay Awake). This interconnecting thriller deserves a decent one - time watchable category.

Cut Short Rating - 7/10
