Note: 'Secret Superstar' was released on 20th October, 2017 for Diwali all around the India except Tamilnadu due to high additional tax on Bollywood movies. But, Golmaal Again released on that day. As the issues sorted out now, 'Secret Superstar' released today along with other delayed other language films in Tamilnadu. So, I watched it today and sharing my review about it here.

The success of Dangal in the end of the year 2016 was celebrated by the whole India. The film created a great impact among the audience and broke many records in Box Office. Zaira Wasim, who played the younger age of Geeta stole our hearts in Dangal. Though she had a less screen space in that film, her mindblowing performance made to reach a good platform in Bollywood under the production of Aamir Khan Sir, which is none other than 'Secret Superstar'. From the trailer of the film itself, we concluded that the film is all about a young girl's passion for her singing talent. But the screen presence of Aamir Khan created a good hype among the audience and also that the film will be a good content filled one.

Zaira Wasim, who played the lead role 'Insia' delivered an outstanding performance with her matured acting. It's still unbelievable that this film is her second film. Because, she performed as like she did 5 or 6 films before this. We already know about Aamir Khan Sir's performance. He played a music director in this film, where his screen presence gets stronger in the second half. Still, he delivered his best performance and showed his strong support throughout the film. Other than these characters, Meher Vij played as Insia's mother and expressed the motherhood very neatly and emotionally. Towards the climax, she delivered such a superb performance. Raj Arjun, who played as rugged father of Insia performed well and made justice to that character. Every character in the film made us to notice them and stole our hearts with their good performance. The school romance between Zaira and Tirth Sharma was shot in a decent manner. It will definitely make us to rewind to those school memories. The relationship between a mother and daughter was shown very beautifully. The younger brother of Insia played by Kabir was superb. The director handled this subject in an excellent manner by giving many feel good moments in the screenplay.  The blending of those emotions were really nice. From the beginning to the end, positivity stood strong and made us to create a good interest towards the film. As the singing is the main core of this film, many songs were used without affecting the flow of the film. The songs were really nice and maintained a good feel in our hearts. The ending of the film will really make us to shed tears. I felt some small lag in the screenplay as a small negative of the film. But that doesn't matter. Because the emotional connect is stronger than this negligible mistake.

Verdict: A Feel Good Emotion Filled Musical Drama in which the engaging factor was strong. The message is not a new one, but still the impact is stronger. Just watch the film and I am damn sure that you will really love it.
