We have seen many world destruction films in the recent years. 'Geostorm' is also one among them. The trailer of the film reminds us of those films, but still some positive approach was there towards the film. This film is produced under the banner of Warner Bros.Pictures.

Gerard Butler, who played the lead role delivered his best performance. He carried the entire film in his shoulder and managed to do it well to the extent. Jim Sturgess who played as the brother of Gerard performed well and also his portions were convincing. Abbie Cornish, played as Jim's fiancee and U.S.Secret Service Agent in this film. She was given space to perform only in the climax, but she gave her best in that. Ed Harris, who is the antagonist of the film didn't impress much with his villainism. His performance gave an okayish feel only. Andy Garcia played as the U.S.President delivered a good performance in his portions. The other characters played their portions well and showed their support to the film. The concept of the film is not a new one, but still the technical things balanced that one. The film began with a good start and then took more time to settle into the plot. The screenplay was engaging and hold our interest in some scenes. The execution of screenplay was not carried out in a bored manner, but at a point our interest towards the film gets reduced. In some places, the screenplay falls flat. The predictability factor was very high. This factor overtook the engaging factor in many portions. The background score of the film was good. Those space scenes were also shot in a good manner. The natural disasters were shown in a realistic manner and gave the real feel of that. The last 30 mins of the film which is nothing but the ending of the film was good and made us to keenly watch it. But that predictability factor still didn't give a satisfaction feel in that ending. The performances of the lead actors and the technical things stood strong amidst the negatives of the film. This made this usual disaster film to watch it once.

Verdict - This is an usual sci-fi disaster based film in which many scenes reflect some disaster based films. Still, the screenplay execution was not that much bad and made us to sit and enjoy the film for some extent. The engaging factor is not throughout the film, but only in some parts. This sci-fi disaster based film deserves a watchable once for a good attempt.

Cut Short Rating - 7/10
