Plot - Jogendra is a very sweet and caring husband of Radha. Once her wife get aborted by the wife of Panchayat Head, Jogendra becomes depressed to see her wife in that situation. Then he decides to get into the game of politics for his wife. After attaining a good position, he finally aims for becoming Chief Minister of the State. Does his wish fulfilled?

Rana Daggubati, who marked his tamil debut in Thala Ajith's Aarambam received a warm welcome among audience after his mindblowing performance in Bahubali and Ghazi. So, the producers of Nene Raja Nene Mantri planned to release in both Telugu and Tamil. The tamil version cannot be said as the complete dubbed version of that telugu film as they made some changes in this version by replacing some characters with Nasser, Mayilsamy and Jegan. Rana Daggubati gave a solid performance with his mass screen presence throughout the film. Though he is the hero of the film, his characterization was sketched with a negative shade in that politician role. The chemistry between Rana and Kajal was very nice. Kajal Agarwal gave justice to the wife role of Rana, and the director gave some importance to her role. Catherine Teresa played a TV anchor who comes as a turning point in Rana's political career. She did her part well. Navdeep gave his best in the given limited space. Ashutosh Rana played the main baddie, and showed his usual style of villianism. The political game between Rana and Ashutosh was quite interesting. Director Teja didn't take too much of time to get into the plot. His screenplay execution was very good in first half with some interesting political knots. The director had handled this political action entertainer in a very good manner, but only for some extent. Even though the political game was interesting, the predictability factor spoiled some scenes. The second half gets slightly deviated from the main storyline and some small lags could have been avoided. VFX works were very poor in this film. Many logical loop holes were here and there. Towards the climax, the movie gets interesting. We can feel it as a dubbed version only in some dialogues. The climax portion with patriotism touch was really superb. Director gave a good ending to the film, but some shades of Ramana film was clearly seen in that part. Rana Daggubati carried the entire film in his shoulder, and that made the film to travel in a safe track. If those small flaws were avoided, the film would be celebrated in a great manner.

Verdict - Though this interesting masala filled political action thriller have some flaws, we can just put that aside and enjoy this film for the mass screen presence of Rana Daggubati.

Cut Short Rating - 7.5/10
