Some situation makes her to judge his character as a bad one. How Geetha falls in love with him and did they really marry forms the crux of the story.
'Geetha Govindam' is a romantic entertainer directed by debut director Parasuram. In this film, Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna plays the lead roles. After 'Arjun Reddy' film, Vijay Deverakonda gets a huge fanbase among both boys and girls. The hit number 'Inkem Inkem Inkem Kaavale' promotes this film hugely. After a long wait, this film finally releases today with a grand opening.
Performance of the Star Cast - Vijay Deverakonda delivers a very convincing performance and he steals the show through his innocence. His romantic expressions through that innocence makes the girls to go crazy behind him. Rashmika Mandanna also gets a role equal to Vijay Deverakonda. She delivers a neat performance by showing the hatred and romantic feelings beautifully. Subbaraju has justified his character in a good way. Vennela Kishore's part is just like an extended cameo. Still, he manages to entertain the audience. Naga Babu plays as the father of Vijay Deverakonda. In his portions, he gives his best. Rahul Ramakrishna gives a complete laughter experience through his one-liners. All the other actors have done their part well. Nithya Menon and Anu Emmanuel makes a good cameo appearance.
Technical Works - Manikandan's cinematography gives us a visual treat, by making the visuals very rich. Marthand K Venkatesh's editing is really good, in which his cuts doesn't slow down the entertainment factor. Gopi Sunder's songs are already 'Super-Hit'. 'Inkem Inkem Inkem Kaavale' songs a tremendous response from the audience. The visuals of that song is also good. His background score helps to elevate the romantic and emotional sequences.
Director's Involvement with the Script - Director Parasuram doesn't treat this romantic entertainer in a different way. He presents this romantic entertainer in a very usual format only. But, he makes the audience to get strongly connected, through the proper balance of romance and comedy. This makes him to entertain the audience from the beginning to end. The characters of Vijay and Rashmika has been well-written. This makes the chemistry between them to work very well.
Screenplay Execution - In the first half, the film opens with a good start. Then the film slowly starts to make way for the strong entertainment. After few minutes, the screenplay travels in both romantic and hilarious way. Towards the interval, the film takes a serious tone. The interval block is an expected one only. In the second half, the screenplay as usual keeps us entertaining. In between, the film travels in a romantic track completely. Towards the climax, the screenplay goes in the same good flow. The climax is very usual one, in which the happy ending has been finished with a humour touch.
Main Negatives of the Film - As the director's treatment is very usual, the screenplay moves in a predictable flow only. So, we will easily guess what's gonna happen next. 'What the Life' song looks like a small speed breaker. In the second half, a small twist which comes in the mid portion and climax portion looks very similar. The director could have tried some other climax. Even though it looks good, this type of climax is very familiar.
Verdict
'Geetha Govindam' is a good romantic entertainer from Parasuram, in which his treatment entertains the audience completely. The chemistry between Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Madanna works very well. The film also provides a good laughter experience. The only issue is predictability, in which the strong romance and humour makes us to forgive it. This romantic entertainer deserves 'worth watchable once' category to get entertained with your family and friends.
