Plot - How Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his team tries to stop the plutonium weapon attack forms the crux of the story.
'Mission: Impossible - Fallout' is the sixth installment in 'Mission: Impossible' series. The trailer of the film gets good response, which increases the expectations among the audience. The film finally releases yesterday in India.
Performance of the Star Cast - Tom Cruise as usual delivers his splendid performance. He looks so energetic. He steals the show easily through stunt sequences. Henry Cavill delivers a neat performance and he gives a tough competition to Tom Cruise. Ving Rhames and Simon Pegg as usual gives their good support to Tom Cruise throughout the film. They both scores well in many scenes. Rebecca Ferguson delivers her best performance in the given space. Sean Harris, Angela Basett, Michelle Monaghan and Alec Badwin have given their best. All the other actors have done their part well.
Technical Works - Rob Hardy's cinematography is really nice, which looks refreshing in every frame. He has visualized the car and bike chasing scenes in a very realistic way. Eddie Hamilton's editing maintains a good flow for what the plot needs. But, his cuts doesn't look proper in few parts. Lorne Balfe's background score elevates the action sequences. 'Mission Impossible' theme as usual gives us goosebumps. But, the theme is just used in the title card and end credits.
Director's Involvement with the Script - Director Christopher McQuarrie has already directed the previous part 'Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation'. For the second time, he joins hands with Tom Cruise for this sixth installment. In 'Rogue Nation', his direction and screenplay execution is one of the biggest positives. Like that, he gives his best in his part. He extracts the complete potential of Tom Cruise in every frame. He focuses highly on the plot only. But still, his screenplay execution is not so superb like the previous part.
Screenplay Execution - The film opens with a decent start, without any high build-up for Tom Cruise. The film enters into the plot directly. From the title card, the screenplay creates an interest slowly. In between, the stunt sequences and some situational humour entertains the audience. After an hour, the screenplay makes the audience to get connected with the film. Later the flow is good for few minutes. Then, the screenplay slightly deviates our interest. Towards the climax, the film becomes engaging. The climax is as usual superb with good breathtaking stunts.
Main Negatives of the Film - In 'Rogue Nation', the director maintains a proper balance of entertainment factor. Because of that, the screenplay keeps us engaging throughout the film. In this film, the director focuses mostly on the conversation scenes. The screenplay looks slow only in most of the portions. The action sequences only helps to make the screenplay intense. Other than that, the film doesn't create a strong connect with the audience like the previous installments. But, the film doesn't give a bored feel.
Verdict
'Mission: Impossible - Fallout' is a good action entertainer, in which the execution of action sequences are really nice. Tom Cruise's screen presence is as usual stunning and massive. Even though the film entertains, we doesn't get a strong impact like the previous parts. This makes the audience to come out of the theatre with some disappointments. So, this film deserves 'worth watchable once' category for Tom Cruise's stunning performance and also for the good stunt sequences.
Cut Short Rating - 7.4/10
