Plot - Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) wants to save Janet van Dyne (Michelle Marie Pfieffer) from the 'Quantum Realm'. Scott Lang (a) Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) is completely under house-arrest, because of his help for Captain America in Civil War. He knows the way to enter into 'Quantum Realm'. So, his daughter Hope van Dyne (a) Wasp (Evangeline Lilly) rescues him without the knowledge of FBI. Why Ava Starr (a) Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen) creates troubles for Hank Pym, Ant-Man and Wasp forms the crux of the story.
'Ant-Man And The Wasp' is sequel to 'Ant-Man', which released in the year 2015. It is one of the 'Marvel Comics' characters.
Performance of the Star Cast - Paul Rudd delivers a superb cool performance and he makes us to enjoy both the action and funny acts of 'Ant-Man'. Evangeline Lilly delivers a very good performance as 'Wasp'. Ant-Man and Wasp combo scenes looks so superb. Michael Douglas plays his supporting role very well. He scores well in some dialogues with a good timing. Michael Pena as usual entertains the audience with his funny acts. Hannah John-Kamen delivers a decent performance and she gives a justification for 'Ghost'. Abby Ryder Fortson looks cute in her portions. The father-daughter scenes between Paul and Abby gives us a good feel. Michelle Marie Pfieffer and Lawrence Fishburne have done their part well. All the other actors have given their best.
Technical Works - Dante Spinotti's cinematography looks so good, in which some of the shots have been captured very well. Dan Lebantal and Craig Wood handles the editing of the film. Their cuts looks sleek, by maintaining a good pace for the entertainment factor. Christophe Beck's background score elevates the action sequences in a convincing way. As usual, Marvel maintains a standard level of CG works in this film too.
Director's Involvement with the Script - Director Peyton Reed has given his best to make the audience comfortable with this sequel. He maintains the usual entertainment strategy of Marvel to entertain the audience. He gives importance to situational humour and action sequences in a right proportion. This makes the audience to travel along with the film. The father-daughter love is also shown in a beautiful manner.
Screenplay Execution - The film directly enters into the plot, and explains how Janet gets struck inside 'Quantum Realm'. After that, the film shows the house-arrest life of Scott Lang. The screenplay gets an intensity from an action sequence. From there, the film entertains us to the core with good humour. In between, the screenplay pace slows down for few minutes. Later, the film maintains a superb flow. The screenplay becomes engaging. The climax is so entertaining and convincing.
Main Negatives of the Film - The screenplay is predictable only. In between, the lagging issue slightly occurs. I felt that the 3D effect is effective in few portions only. Some small flaws here and there. Still, the film entertains us and gives an excuse for those flaws.
Verdict
'Ant-Man And The Wasp' is a very good Superhero Action Thriller from Peyton Reed, in which he satisfies us more than the first part. The Marvel's entertainment strategy once again entertains us to the core with superb action and good humour. Just because of this, the audience won't get bored. So, this film deserves 'worth-watchable once' to get entertained with your family and friends. Don't miss the post-credits scene.
