Note - 'Awe' is a telugu film released on 16th February. The film received excellent reviews from both critics and general audience. The film is now available with English subtitles. So, I too watched this film because of the positive word of mouth.

Plot - How the lives of different people gets interconnected at a point and what happens next forms the crux of the story.

'Awe' is produced by our 'Natural Star' Nani under his own production 'Wall Poster Cinema'. The top heroines of Tollywood such as 'Kajal Agarwal', 'Nithya Menon' and 'Regina Cassendra' are playing the lead roles in this film.

Performance of the Star Cast - Kajal Agarwal delivers a neat performance in her given space. Her character will be on the mystery side to create a suspense factor. Nithya Menon and Eesha Rebba delivers their usual best performance with their bold characterisation. Regina Cassendra gives her best, by giving a good justification for what her character needs. Srinivas Avasarala and Murali Sharma delivers their convincing performance. Rohini and Devadarshini are utilized well with the core plot, with their good performances. Priyadarshi Pullikonda delivers his best performance and he also scores well in both emotional and humourous portions. Nani and Ravi Teja will make us entertaining with their good voice-overs.

Technical Works - Karthik Ghattamaneni's cinematography looks so rich with proper color balance. Goutham Nerusu's editing is really superb, as the non-linear flow doesn't get disturbed at any extent. Mark Robin's background score is really nice, which gels well with the mood of the situation.

Director's Involvement with the Script - Prashanth Varma has to be appreciated really for his unique narration and screenplay execution. In the title song, he gives a gist of the characters and their life through the animated characters. He starts to explain every story through some detailing sketches. He tries to present the film with some creativity. Even though the flow is followed in a non-linear pattern, he will make us convinced without attaining confused state. At the same time, we have to watch the life of the characters very keenly.

Screenplay Execution - In the first half, the lead characters and their life are briefly expalained without any boring elements into it. The same gender attraction problem between Nithya and Eesha is handled in a very decent way, and the explanation for that relationship has a good justification in the latter half. Some fantasy like elements are used, which gels well with the situation. The interval block will be an unexpected one with a superb twist. In the second half, the film takes some time to maintain a proper flow. After that, the screenplay goes smoothly towards the end without any deviation. The climax is also an unexpected one, which gives a strong impact on us.

Main Negatives of the FilmIn some parts, he fails to give some clarity which will make us to understand it later. The non-linear flow in the second half has some lagging issues, which are negligible. Few audience may find difficult to get adopted into this plot of non-linear flow. But the different attempt of narration and execution stands strong with the film.

Verdict
'Awe' is a very good interconnecting thriller, in which the unique narration and the screenplay execution are the biggest plus. The director's different attempt is really appreciable. Except the small negligible flaws, the film don't have any issues. So, it deserves a 'must-watch once' for the strong performance and also for the director's style.

Note - Some people may feel uncomfortable with this non-linear flow. So, they will not get fulfilled to the core. We have to watch it keenly to understand the situation and the interconnect of all the stories.

Cut Short Rating - 8.4/10
