Plot - Sketch (a) Jeeva is a car seizing agent. Once he seizes 'Royapuram' Kumar's car for his boss, with the help of his friends. How 'Royapuram' Kumar took revenge on Sketch and his friends, to show his power forms the remaining of the story.

Performance of the Star Cast - 'Chiyaan' Vikram delivered a solid and powerful performance in action sequences. His mass screen presence was the biggest plus in the film. He carried the entire film on his shoulder. Tamannah came as an usual heroine, where she shared her space for romance track. But still, she did her part very well. Baburaj played the negative shade and gave his best. RK Suresh gave his best in the given space. Soori played an extended cameo like appearance in the film. Sriman, Aruldoss and Vinoth did their part well. The other actors also delivered their best in their portions.

Technical Works - Sukumar's cinematography work was very nice, with good visuals of North Madras. His top angle shots were superb. Ruben's editing work was neat. SS Thaman's background elevated the mass action sequences. The songs were pleasant to hear.

Director's Involvement with the Script - Vijay Chander tried to present an usual commercial entertainer in a very good manner. In some parts, he executed it very well. But at the same time, he should have concentrated more to make it more entertaining. Vikram's screen presence saved this usual storyline plot. Still, Vijay Chander's direction is not bad.

Screenplay Execution - In both the half, romance track had greater advantage than the action sequences. In the beginning, Vikram's introduction and stunts in few scenes were very good. After that, it took more time for the main track. Towards the interval, the screenplay's engaging factor level gets increased. The interval block was good. In the latter half, the lagging issue occurs and disturbs the flow. Towards the climax, the screenplay gets an interesting angle. The climax with an unexpected twist and a message to the society was good.

Main Negative - The biggest issue in the film was the romance track. The director should have focused on the romantic track to make it short and present it in a good manner. But, it disturbs the flow in both the half. In some portions, the entertainment factor becomes low and decreases the curiosity of the audience.

Verdict
'Sketch' is an usual commercial entertainer with some good packaging of action elements. Still, the romance track was the biggest speed breaker in the film. Vijay Chander will not satisfy us to the core. But, Vikram's screen presence stood strong throughout the film. So, it deserves a decent 'one-time' watch category for our Chiyaan Vikram.

Cut Short Rating - 7/10
