This Pongal is very special for Kollywood fans. Because the films releasing for this Pongal have a superb cast and crew. The films releasing for Pongal are 'Thaana Serntha Kootam', 'Sketch' and 'Gulaebaghavali'. Let us see about the expectations of these films among the audience.
Thaana Serntha Kootam - This film is directed by Vignesh Shivn. In this film, we have Suriya, Karthik Sir, Ramya Krishnan Ma'am, Kalaiarasan, Keerthy Suresh, Senthil Sir and many of our favourite stars. The songs were composed by Anirudh Ravichander, which got a warm response, especially 'Sodakku' song went viral in Youtube as well as top charts in the radio stations. The teaser of the film looked so promising, and the fans went crazy after seeing the looks of Suriya. Because, he still looked so energetic and we were able to witness the vintage Suriya in that. The teaser made the people to think that the film is a complete entertainer for all set of audience. Vignesh Shivn also clarified about the shades of Bollywood Film 'Special 26' in the teaser. He agreed that the film is an official remake of 'Special 26' and also he made some changes for the taste of tamil audience. The film is highly promoted well among the audience. So, this created a high buzz and the people are eagerly waiting to watch it in theatres on 12th January.

Sketch - This film is directed by Vijay Chander. In this film, we have Chiyaan Vikram Sir, Tamannah, RK Suresh and many of our favourite stars. The songs were composed by SS Thaman, which got a good response among the audience. 'Atchi Putchi' song went viral in Youtube. The teaser of the film looked promising and it's a complete action treat for Chiyaan fans. In 'Gemini' film, Chiyaan Vikram created a new style of symbol for 'O Podu'. Like that, he showed a new style of symbol in the film teaser. So, it may trend after the release. Though it's an action entertainer, the film also have some beautiful romantic elements. After the censor certification, the new promo of 'Sketch' had strong mass and action elements. But, the promotions of the film were very less. Even though 'Chiyaan' Vikram stands as a brand for this 'Sketch', the promotions should be stronger for a wider reach to the audience. Let's expect a good action treat from this team.

Gulaebaghavali - This film is directed by Kalyaan. In this film, we have our lovely Master Prabhudeva, Hanshika Motwani, Revathi Ma'am, Munishkanth, Yogi Babu and many of our favourite stars. The songs were composed by Vivek-Mervin combo, in which their music beats are good enough to sync with our Master Prabhudeva's dance steps. The promo videos of two songs got a good response from the people. The trailer looked so promising and it had some humour elements. So, the film mostly falls on the comedy entertainer along with the main treasure plot. Yogi Babu's one-liners may work out very well in the film. So, this film will easily attract the family audience and kids too. The promotions of this film was going on in a decent manner. The film was produced by KJR Studios, who recently produced our Lady Superstar's masterpiece 'Aramm'. So, we can expect a good quality output from this team.
