Vignesh Shivan is the director who impressed the audience with some creative and smart works in his two films 'Podaa Podi' and 'Naanum Rowdy Thaan'. He was also seen as a supporting role in Dhanush's 'Velaiyilla Pattathari'. Anyhow, he attained a great fame in a very short time. After these films, he narrated a script for Suriya, which is none other than 'Thaana Serntha Kootam'. From the day of shooting, there were no updates about the film and it's schedule of shooting. Suriya fans were highly disappointed and they started torturing Director Vignesh Shivan in Twitter. Then finally, the film released single tracks 'Naana Thaana' followed by 'Sodakku Mela' composed by Anirudh, which went viral in social media and appreciated by all. After the long wait, the director planned to release the teaser. Finally, it released today in Youtube at 7pm.
In every frame of the teaser, Suriya looks so charming and very young. We can see many variations with his usual style. So finally, the vintage Suriya is back in this film with many different getups. His dialogues deals with unemployment issues. In 'Sodakku Mela' song also, the lyrics were written with the minds of unemployment. So, the film gonna deal this issue in a very big scale it seems. Keerthy Suresh comes with her usual traditional looks and her characterisation maybe written like an usual heroine pattern it seems. This is what I felt about her characterisation. Karthick Sir was seen only in a frame, but his shades looks like a baddie character. So, I think he will be playing the main villain of this film. It's very easy for him where he scored for his villainism in 'Anegan'. Ramya Krishnan Ma'am is seen in most of the frames with Suriya. So, she is gonna play a great supporting role. We all know about her performance in her previous films. So, she will really impress us with her stellar performance in this film too. Like Ramya Krishnan Ma'am, the other characters such as Kalaiyarasan, Sathyan, Senthil Sir and Sivasankar Sir was also seen with Suriya. So, they too have a powerful role in this film it seems. So, this maybe the gang of Suriya and what the gang gonna do maybe the core of the plot. This perfectly apts the title in which Suriya maybe the main victim and they will be helping him in completing his aim. Ananda Raj, who played a very superb role in 'Naanum Rowdy Thaan' may have a supporting role like in this film too. The cinematography work by Dinesh Krishnan looks very colourful and fresh. So, the visuals of the film will be really impressive. The editor of the film is none other than Ruben. He is a very superb editor in recent times. In the teaser itself, his cuts were really massive. So his cuts will be really good and sharp. We all know about Anirudh's Music. He will really impress us with his mindblowing music score. There is no doubt in that. The plot revolves around Chennai and Hyderabad it seems. After watching the entire teaser, the investigation scenes reflected me about the bollywood film 'Special 26'. 'Special 26' dealt with fake CBI's and also about the unemployment issue. In many frames, it make me to compare with that film. I think that the film may have shades of that film or it maybe a small part of the film. We can get a clear shot about it only after the release of the film. But, the entire teaser looks so promising and it's definitely a superb Pongal treat to celebrate it with our friends and family. So, let's wait and watch the show on Pongal.
