Note - I haven't read this famous novel 'Murder On The Orient Express'. Without reading, I can't compare the film and novel. So, my review and rating will be based on the movie only.

Many of them are fond of reading novels during their free time. Everyone have a different taste in the genre of the novel. Most of them love to read crime thriller novels. In Tamil, Rajesh Kumar Sir's novels are very famous till now. When it comes to English, Agatha Christie is very famous in crime thriller novels. Her writing really created a great curiosity for the readers. One of her famous and best-selling novels is 'Murder On The Orient Express', which was published in the year 1934. Still this novel was preferred by most of the readers to new one. Many famous novels were adapted into the film version, which made a successful run in Box Office. Already this novel was made into a film and released in the year 1974. Due to the great demand, this novel is once again re-adapted for the film version and released on 24th November in India.

Kenneth Branagh played as the detective and carried the entire film with this stellar performance. The way of handling of the crime scene by him was superb and looked so lively. He is also the director of this film. Johnny Depp played a supporting character and made us convinced with his usual style of performance. His character was the turning point in the plot. The other characters, who played as those suspects of the murder, have done justice to their parts. Among the characters who played as suspects, only some of them made us noticed with their neat performances. Because those characters were given some high level of importance than the others. The cinematography work was really nice in this film. The visuals of the film was so cool and astonishing, in which we can really feel the real winter. The background score was good.  In the beginning, the detective's intro of finding the thief was really good. After that, the film focused mostly on some conversation parts. So, it will test the patience for some of the audience. The humour content in some scenes worked out very well. After some time, the journey gets interesting at the point of the crime scene. The screenplay of the film was slow only. It will also test our patience. From the crime scene, the screenplay got an interesting angle and made us to think about the finding of killer in various perspectives. The investigation by Hercule from the clues was really nice. The lagging issue took place in the middle portion of the film. Towards the climax, the curiosity of the audience in finding the killer gets increased. In the climax, the twist in the climax was really stunning and unexpected one. The climax portion was handled in a very good manner. The strong twist in the climax made the audience convinced with the film. But the slow screenplay will test the patience and make some audience uncomfortable with it. It depends upon our mindset. Except that, this crime thriller was really convincing. I don't know how the fans of this famous novel will react for the film version. So, their opinion may differ.

Verdict - This crime thriller will really make us convinced in most of the parts. But still, the slow screenplay execution and lagging problems will disturb the flow of the storyline. But, if you haven't read that novel, you don't miss this film version. This crime thriller deserves a must watch once for it's good making style.

Cut Short Rating - 7.8/10
