In Bollywood industry, the success or the entertaining factor of that film makes the directors to direct the sequels which are warmly welcomed by the people. One of the successful franchises in the Bollywood industry is 'Golmaal' Series. Like Sundar.C in Kollywood industry, Director Rohit Shetty is also known for entertainment packaged films in Bollywood. In the year 2006, he directed the first film of 'Golmaal' franchise with Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi and Tusshar Kapoor. These three actors were used in the whole franchise. The success of the film made the director to continue his successful streak in this franchise upto three installments. After the three installments in Golmaal franchise, the fourth installment 'Golmaal Again' released for Diwali Release yesterday. This 'Golmaal Again' deals with the horror-comedy genre.

Ajay Devgn delivered a very good performance where he entertained everyone with his style. He scored well in both humour and action sequences. Arshad Warsi and Tusshar Kapoor gave their best and stood as a great support to the film. Sherayas Talpade and Kunal Khemu delivered their level best performance to give competition to other leads. Tabu played a librarian role in which she delivered her best performance and made us to notice her characterization throughout the film. Her characterization was written with the minds of Suriya's 'Maasu Enginra Masilamani' it seems. Parineeti Chopra played a very good role where she was given space to perform. She looked cute in every frame. Even though Prakash Raj and Neil Nithin Mukesh were the main villains of the film, they got less space to perform. The other characters had done a great justice to the film. The story takes place in Ooty, Tamilnadu. The intro scene of Ajay Devgn had a reference of Ilayathalapathy Vijay's 'Varlaam Varlaam Vaa Bairavaa' song from the film 'Bairavaa', in which it added a great spice to that scene. The casting of the film was very good and that's a great positive for the film. The storyline of this horror-comedy genre is very usual one. The predictability factor took place in the whole screenplay. In the first half, the screenplay was engaging in some parts and few scenes made us to feel bored of it. The title track of the film by S.Thaman was really superb and it will really make us to dance for that beat. The other two music directors gave their best score in other songs. The interval block was also an expected one, but still it was good. Though the flashback portion of that ghost didn't create a great impact, it doesn't make you feel bored of it. The fun factor in this film went low in some parts as the director had to focus in the horror part. The horror scenes were like Tamil movies where it doesn't make you frighten for it. The ending of the film will give you an okayish feel only. The performance of the lead actors saved the film for some extent. The usual scenes make your interest low, but still you won't get that bored feel. This factor made this horror-comedy entertainer to enjoy atleast once.

Verdict - The fourth installment of 'Golmaal' was quite interesting in some parts. The usual horror-comedy package with some less entertaining elements made this installment not as a fulfilled one. But, the performance of the lead actors saved this film for some extent and made this horror-comedy entertainer as a one-time watchable type. Go and Get Golmaaled.

Cut Short Rating - 6.8/10
