In the year 2013, few tamil films created a good attention among the audience. Among that, 'Chennaiyil Oru Naal' made a strong impact about the humanity in that year. It was an official remake of Malayalam movie 'Traffic', which was based on the real incident. The positive factors in that film made the film to attain a good success. Few months before, Sarathkumar Sir announced about it's new project which is the sequel of 'Chennaiyil Oru Naal'. The trailer of the film created a normal expectations among the audience. They postponed the release on September and finally released it as Deepavali release. Due to the impact of 'Mersal', this film struggled in getting show timings in some theatres. This is not an exact sequel of 'Chennaiyil Oru Naal' as there are no connections with the previous part. The title is also not apt with the plot because the story revolve the persons in Coimbatore. Sarathkumar Sir just used this brand name for this project with Director JPR. Sarathkumar Sir delivered a good performance with his usual style. Munishkanth just came as a supporting role and gave his best. Napoleon Sir played the commissioner role and did justice to his part. Suhasini Maniratnam Ma'am played a cameo like role and did her part well. The other actors performance gave an okayish feel only. The duration of the film is short and the screenplay doesn't get deviated from the storyline.  Some stories which was explained in a comics style was nice. The director tried something to give justice to this crime thriller. The storyline was inspired from the novels of Rajeshkumar Sir. But the narration failed to support it. The writing was not upto the mark. The seriousness of the subject was not well received. The technical things were good. The thrilling factor is very low in the screenplay. The screenplay was very flat in many portions. Just Sarathkumar Sir's performance saved some portions. Some detailing was not good especially some spellings of inspired, 'Angel' and 'Diana' were wrongly spelled. Some parts of the second half was good and lead us to some confusions at the same time. Some twists in the second half was little bit convincing. The ending of the film was very normal. The investigation scenes could have been more crispier. With these flaws, we can consider this crime thriller as an average one.

Verdict - A Crime Thriller which was inspired from the novel of Rajeshkumar Sir failed to impress because of the weak narration. So this crime thriller falls under the average category. This crime thriller deserves a watchable once for Sarathkumar Sir.

Cut Short Rating - 6/10
