A song which is favourite for all and still ruling our music playlists is none other than 'Neruppu Da' From Superstar's Film 'Kabali' composed by Santhosh Narayan. Director Ashok Kumar used it as the title for his debut film. We were able to guess that storyline of the film deals with firemen life by seeing posters and trailer. So this title 'Neruppu Da' suits perfectly. Vikram Prabhu is under a great crisis to give a super hit fim. His previous films faced a great failure in box office because of negative reviews everywhere. After his 2014 Super Hit film 'Arima Nambi', Vikram Prabhu delivered a very good performance in this film. He did a great justice to that fireman character. Nikki Galrani came as an usual heroine with her less screen presence. Motta Rajendran was used for comedy portions but he failed to impress us. Madhusudhan Rao delivered his usual style of villainism. Ponvannan Sir played Vikram Prabhu's father and did his part well. The opening of the film was really superb in which the fire accident scene looked so real and also a good intro for Vikram Prabhu. This opening added as a first impression to the audience. After few minutes, the screenplay entered into the intense of the plot. From that point, the screenplay was very engaging with many interesting twists and turns. Friends of Vikram Prabhu also had a major role in the film and they did very well. The friendship bond was shown very realistic. The interval block was very good with a small twist. The director created a small lag in between the screenplay of the second half portion with some romance stuff. The fire in the screenplay of the second half was not like first half. Before the climax, director tried an interesting knot and made us to think about it in various perspectives. When he revealed the knot in the climax, the whole climax went wrong as it was not convincing.  It made us to think that the climax could have been better. Sean Roldan's Music is good in this film when compared to VIP 2 and Kathanayagan. I appreciate director for taking this firemen stoyline. Now Vikram Prabhu reached a safe zone but this is not enough. I wish him to concentrate more on good scripts.

Verdict - Except that climax, the director made us to sit throughout the film with his engaging screenplay execution. A good comeback for Vikram Prabhu compared to his previous failures. This Spark Filled Thriller deserves a must watch once.

Cut Short Rating - 7.4/10
