The horror comedy trend in Kollywood which was started in recent years doesn't come to an end. Though many directors coming up with different content oriented and thriller scripts, some of them are still focusing in this horror comedy scripts. In that way, debut director Jawahar also tried a horror comedy script. Santhosh Prathap, who was last seen in R.Parthiban's 'Kadhai Thiraikadhai Vasanam Iyakkam' gave justice to his role. Reshmi Menon was looking good, but seeing her as a ghost was not digestable. Her involvement for that ghost role was not convincing. Mottai Rajendran and Jegan tried something to make us laugh, but it didn't work out. Bharani given a comeback in this film after Bigg Boss show. He gave his usual performance. Kovai Sarala played an exorcist role and her portions were also so boring. Director Jawahar wrote a very weaker screenplay for this usual horror comedy script. He don't know how to increase the interest of the audience towards the film. If he had concentrated in comedy portions, the movie would have made us enjoy atleast the humor content. He failed in doing that too. The CG works were very poor. Both the half of the film don't have even one interesting scene. In the climax, the famous 'Ghost Gopal Varma' comedy of Darling film was used. Sathya's music was little convincing. Due to the unimpressive scenes, the music doesn't store in our mind. The elements to be used for an horror comedy script was completely wasted in this film. Without these elements, the movie failed to reach the border mark too. Santhosh Prathap, please focus on some good content oriented scripts to attain a fame in Kollywood. Don't commit in these type of films.

Verdict - 'Bayama Irukku' is not at all Bayama Irukku (no fear). An horror comedy film without good humour failed to impress us.  Just watch it for your timepass.
